Antonakakis

Dr. Marios Antonakakis is an Assistant Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the Department of Electronic Engineering of the Hellenic Mediterranean University. He holds a Diploma in Electronic and Computer Engineering and an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, and received his PhD from the Technical University of Ilmenau, Germany. He is a research collaborator with the Technical University of Crete and the Institute for Biomagnetism and Biosignal Analysis (Germany).

Tselepidis

Anastasios Tselepides is a Biological Oceanographer and a Professor at the Biology Department of the University of Crete. For many years (2006-2022) he was a Professor at the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus. Prior to that (1993-2006) he was a Senior Researcher and a Research Director, as well as the leader of the Oceanography Department of the Institute of Marine Biology of Crete (IMBC) that evolved into the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research in Crete (HCMR-Crete).

Steiakakis

Dr E. Steiakakis acquired a Bachelor Degree in Geology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a MSc Degree in Engineering Geology from the Leeds University.

Vakalas

Dr. Vakalas Ioannis is a geologist who has worked in various fields, such as sedimentology, petroleum geology, hydrogeology, soil & rock mechanics, for over 20 years. He has worked as a sub-contractor for major energy companies in Greece such as Energean Oil and Gas, Repsol, Hellenic Petroleum Upstream, Hellenic Hydrocarbons, and Energy Resources Management Company. During his tenure, he has supervised several oil & gas exploration projects.

Marinakis

Mr. Dimitris Marinakis holds an Assistant Professor position in Petroleum Production Engineering at the Department of Mineral Resources Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia.

Pasadakis

Nikos Pasadakis is Professor at the School of Mineral Resources Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. He served as Director of the Institute of GeoEnergy (IG) [former Institute of Petroleum Research (IPR)] of FORTH from its establishment (2019) up to 2023.

Arampatzis

George Arampatzis is an Associate Professor at the School of Production Engineering and Management (PEM) of the Technical University of Crete (TUC), teaching “Heat Transfer” “Rational Energy Management in Production Systems” and “Fluid Mechanics”. He received his Diploma in Chemical Engineering in 1991 and his PhD in 2000 from the National Technical University of Athens.

Gaganis

Dr. Vassilis Gaganis holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, a MSc and a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the Technical University of Crete. Currently he holds an Assistant Professor position at the National Technical University of Athens, School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering.

Diangelakis

Nikolaos A. Diangelakis is an Assistant Professor at the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. Prior to that, he was a Lead Optimisation Engineer ta Octeract Ltd.
