Mariana Angeli is a PhD candidate in Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Crete. She holds a BSc in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Ioannina, where her thesis focused on the synthesis and characterization of graphitic metal oxide systems via the hydrothermal method. Her doctoral research focuses on the design and development of new functional two-dimensional (2D) materials and their evaluation in technological applications. She has participated in H.F.R.I.-funded research projects on sintering processes and catalytic performance in Sabatier and DRM reactions. She has experience in materials characterization techniques, including X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Vis spectroscopy, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Her scientific interests include advanced materials synthesis, particularly carbon-based and hybrid nanomaterials, with an emphasis on sustainable approaches.
