Short CV
Professor Epaminondas Voutsas is the Director of the Laboratory of Thermodynamics and Transport Phenomena at the School of Chemical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens. His research activity focuses on, among other areas: (a) modeling, simulation, scaling up, and optimization of processes; (b) CO2 capture and utilization for the production of eFuels and other chemicals; (c) modeling and simulation of natural gas processes; and (d) thermodynamic and fluid dynamic analysis of hydrogen injection in natural gas pipelines. He has supervised a significant number of PhD theses (>10) and undergraduate and postgraduate theses (>60). He has 120 publications in peer-reviewed international scientific journals (h-index = 38, >4600 cross-references: SCOPUS, July 2024), 6 chapters in books, and over 180 presentations at international and Greek conferences. He is among the 2% of researchers with the greatest scientific influence worldwide (https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/6). He is a reviewer for 50 prestigious international scientific journals and member of the editorial board of scientific journals. He has participated in more than 40 research projects, serving as project coordinator in 25 of them. He is a member of: (a) the "Working Party of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering: Thermodynamics and Transport Properties," (b) the International Organizing Committee of the European Conference of Applied Thermodynamics. He has been the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at NTUA (2020-2023). (ORCID: 0000-0002-9393-6267, email: evoutsas@chemeng.ntua.gr, webpage).
