We are pleased to announce that Ms. Mariana Aggeli, a PhD candidate at the Institute of Geoenergy in collaboration with the Technical University of Crete, received an award at the 15th Panhellenic Scientific Chemical Engineering Conference (Chania, Greece, 3–5 June 2025) for her work entitled “Design & Development of Boron-Doped Graphene Materials for Environmental Applications”.
Ms. Aggeli received the Best Poster Award. The award-winning work focuses on the development and investigation of innovative boron-doped graphene materials for environmental applications.
This distinction recognizes the high quality of both the scientific research and the presentation of the results, highlighting the strong research activity of the Institute of Geoenergy (IG/FORTH), in the fields of advanced nanomaterials and environmental applications.
The research was carried out at the Institute of Geoenergy/FORTH, and is funded by the Theodore Papazoglou FORTH Synergy Grant 2025 project “Bor2D-TECH” (Proposal No. 6), under the scientific coordination of Prof. Dimitrios Gournis and Dr. Georgios Kenanakis.
