11 February – International Day of Women and Girls in Science

At the Institute of Geoenergy of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), women have a strong and active presence across all levels of research activity. Researchers, postdoctoral fellows, PhD candidates, and technical staff contribute daily with scientific expertise, creativity, and dedication to the advancement of knowledge.

This day serves as a reminder of the importance of equal participation in science and of the need to continue encouraging girls and young women to pursue scientific paths without limitations.

On the occasion of today’s celebration, the women of the Institute gathered for a group photo wearing our lab coats, a symbol of our shared journey in research, our collaboration, and our commitment to scientific excellence.
