Short CV

Katerina Damiri is a graduate of the Department of Environmental Engineering at the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. During her studies, she participated in the TRIERES project through the Institute of Geoenergy of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH).

Within the project, her research focused on alternative pathways for hydrogen production from biomass, resulting in the publication of a literature review. This work was followed by experimental investigation on the synthesis and evaluation of catalytic systems for hydrogen production, with particular emphasis on dry reforming of biogas (DRM).

She is currently a PhD student in the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, focusing on heterogeneous catalysis, specifically methane pyrolysis for hydrogen and high-value solid carbon production.
