Polyanthi is Reservoir Engineer and holds a degree in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering. Her professional experience primarily involves geothermal reservoirs and underground gas storage. She currently works as a Reservoir Engineer at the Institute of Geoenergy (FORTH), where her research focuses on identifying suitable geological formations for gas storage. Her scientific interests include the studying of porous media properties, their interactions with fluids, and caprock integrity to ensure project safety. Previously, she worked at the Hellenic Survey of Geological and Mineral Exploration, where she developed dynamic models of geothermal reservoirs, calibrated them with field data, managed monitoring systems, and conducted on-site measurements. In addition, she has prior experience in civil engineering design.
