PhD Student

Katerina Damiri is a graduate of the Department of Environmental Engineering at the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. During her studies, she participated in the TRIERES project through the Institute of Geoenergy of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH).

Aikaterini Triantafyllidi holds a BSc/Integrated Master’s degree in Biological Applications and Technology from the University of Ioannina, Greece. She is currently a PhD Candidate at Harokopio University, Department of Geography, in collaboration with the Institute of GeoEnergy (FORTH). Her PhD thesis focuses on the “Comparative study of the regulatory ecosystem services of Blue Carbon sequestration in coastal ecosystems of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas.”

Mariana Angeli is a PhD candidate in Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Crete. She holds a BSc in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Ioannina, where her thesis focused on the synthesis and characterization of graphitic metal oxide systems via the hydrothermal method. Her doctoral research focuses on the design and development of new functional two-dimensional (2D) materials and their evaluation in technological applications.

Andrianna Maria Gouziou is a PhD student in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Crete (TUC) and a member of the Institute of Geoenergy (FORTH). She holds a Diploma in Agriculture from the Department of Natural Resources Management and Agricultural Engineering of the Agricultural University of Athens, Greece.

Dimosthenis Telemenis holds a BSc degree in Geology from the University of Patras and a MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the Technical University of Crete.

Efsevia (Voula) Fragkou holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the University of Patras and an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the Technical University of Crete (MRED).

Tallarou Chrysoula holds a BSc/Integrated Master in Mineral Resources Engineering from Technical University of Crete, Greece. Right now she is a PhD Candidate of the School of Mineral Resources Engineering in collaboration with the Institute of GeoEnergy/FORTH (PhD thesis: Development of CO2 capture technology from flue gases using gas hydrates).
